Roses and Pansies is a Colefax & Fowler classic. This timeless floral chintz was based on an English hand blocked design dated November 1845. Fowler re-interpreted the design with a modernized overscale rose red illustration and added blue pansies to the background, executed in glazed cotton chintz to keep it fresh. Fowler leaned to light, charming, unpretentious designs and avoided “sweet”. Today Roses & Pansies can be seen in beautiful homes in all types of rooms from the English countryside to Park Avenue! To keep the overall effect lighthearted and pretty we added immaculate fan thread trim in soft ivory from Brunschwig. A wonderful way to add a touch of iconic English Country House pattern to any décor.
