mixing chintz, floral and striped wallpapers, painted floors, quilts, wicker, mattress ticking, and contrasting prints with a comfortable, lived-in feel. Sister Parish began her career in 1933 in Far Hills, New Jersey as a one person business during the Depression, evolving into the noted firm Parish Hadley Associates, whose clients included, among others,  President and Mrs. John F Kennedy, and a veritable list of Who's Who in America. The New York Times noted "Mrs Parish's six decades of decorating epitomized the rise of women in her own and other professions in 20th century America" . 

Reminiscent of Sister's classic look, Augusta has just the right amount of special flair that works in both simple and more formal rooms. This  special print was pulled from the Parish Hadley Archives and given a fresh twist with the addition of a ticking ground cloth.  On the front, two bouquets of summer flowers, like a chintz floral, are tied up in a bow and simply drawn in feminine shades of rosy pink and red on a pink and cream ticking stripe background. The reverse is the same ticking stripe background. A petite rose rope unites both sides and pops the pink withoiut distracting from the simple design.
