Morris Rose and Thistle Indigo Blue 20 x 20 Decorative Pillow with Down/Feather Insert

Originally designed in 1881, “Rose and Thistle” was recently re-introduced. The design features a botanical scene in off-white with a graceful meandering structure and alternating rose flower heads. Set amongst the foliage are small blooming thistles, lending an unmistakable character and wild charm. The deep indigo ground offers an almost sculptural quality to this 100% cotton textile. 

William Morris inspired the Arts and Crafts movement in England and revolutionized Victorian taste, championing nature and a principle of handmade production that didn't chime with the Victorian era's focus on industrial 'progress'. Still loved and admired today, a Morris print is always special.
