Taken from the Zoffany archive, each design is gloriously relevant for today’s interiors with a fabulous handle and in a variety of intense colorways - from pared back to jewel colored. This design in a light soft texture of blended cotton and linen has been reproduced from 17th century Italian documents orginally embroidered with chenilles in opulent colours. This colorway features a gold gargoyle-damask deign on a ground of soft brick red-brown. A petite matching brick red-brown rope unites the sides and frames the design.
