Absolutely stunning, Grace features classic English garden flowers: a bed of full blown roses in rouge and blush pink with petite white and blue flowers added to the arrangement. Available in 3 colorways, this one is has a background of Powder Blue, a very soft muted shade as the name suggests. Printed on 100% linen for subtle soft texture, and backed in off white linen/cotton blend. The front and back are united with a petite rose grosgrain ribbon cord that perfectly frames the arrangement.
The design was created by the legendary Rose Cumming who arrived in New York in 1917 from an Australian sheep station. set up shop and soon after began producing her iconic fabrics. She quickly became the toast of the town, recognized for her unique talent and unparalleled sense of color and bold pattern as well as her personal flamboyance and eccentricity. She was one of the "Great Lady Decorators" who helped invent the field of professional decorating and interior design in the early twentieth century. A-list decorators, celebrities and royalty were dedicated fans.
True to her name, Rose designed a great many rose florals that survive today, although many such as Grace can only be rescued from collector’s carefully preserved archives. This particular rescue probably dates to the early eighties. Grace is a stunning print that will bring sophistication and charm to any interior.
