William Morris Honeysuckle and Tulip Shades of Grey Velvet 12 x 20 Decorative Pillow with Down Feather Insert

This iconic design was notably known to be one of William Morris' personal favorites. First produced in 1876 (!) Honeysuckle & Tulip was an early Morris fabric design depicting entwined foliage and flower motifs in a mirrored pattern repeat. The effect is of a trellis circling large multi-petalled tulips and stylized honeysuckles. This gorgeous soft velvet is rendered in a rich black ink color with flowers drawn in warm white, The print appears on the back as well, in a different viewpoint. Silky petite warm white rope unites the two sides. Very glamorous with Art Nouveau/ Arts and Crafts vibes.
